Description
A 12V inverter/charger for 2x120V system planning
The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V is the model to consider when a 12V battery bank is being paired with a North American 50A split-phase AC environment. It combines 3,000VA inverter capacity, AC battery charging and transfer switching in the MultiPlus-II platform.
At 25°C, the inverter is rated at 3,000VA and 2,400W continuous. The integrated charger supplies up to 120A, while the transfer switch is rated at 50A. The model is listed to UL 458 for mobile-use applications.
Important 2x120V configuration note
This product is not a source of 240V while operating from the battery bank. In inverter mode, Victron specifies 120V single-phase power on both lines. A 240V path is available only when the unit is supplied by a split-phase 120/240VAC source and is passing that supply through. This distinction is important when matching the inverter/charger to an RV or off-grid AC distribution design.

Before you order
Confirm the battery-bank voltage, shore-power arrangement, AC distribution panel, appliances and required inverter-mode loads with your system plan. For a standard single-output 120V setup, consider the conventional 12V 3000VA MultiPlus-II rather than this 2x120V configuration.
